ARTE is in Ras Al Khaimah this weekend. On Friday the 20th of March our artisans from all corners of the UAE convoy up to RAK to display their unique handmade arts and crafts in Al Hamra Mall from 12 – 7 pm. Try something different this weekend: this is a bright yet intimate market, not only serving the local RAK community, but also the tourists, weekend-breakers and road trip enthusiasts. Find the location map on the ARTE website.
The ARTE posters:
Check out our amusing ARTE poster for this month. Our model for March is Eva with her infectious laugh and her adorable collection of cats. See more of EVAsCATs on her Facebook page, along with the other cute creatures she creates.
Call me a crazy cat lady
Being a dog-only family since forever, we adopted our very first cat a few months ago. I am amused at the difference in nature compared to our beloved dog and now know what all the meowing is about. And I am not the only one:
Cats creep into our hearts very quickly, and make their way on to out ARTE tables very comfortably. Have a look at these examples of cat-related arts and crafts:
Helen Antoniades’ s popular cat paintings in a variety of mixed mediums:
Jana Tarsinska’s soft toys for kids:
Vinu Aravind’s workshops created curly paper quilling kittens:
Adrian Munteanu’s Cat Totems made from wood and various materials:
Please consider adopting your own cat, or at least support Feline Friends Dubai.
Designer Doodled poster:
Our artisans are helping out with creative ideas to translate ARTE’s quest to create a unique handmade marketplace where like-minded people can meet. We are delighted to show this poster created by doodler Rebecca Bear.
Of course, the creative geniuses always congregate at ARTE.
If you would like to try your hand at designing your own poster we can use to advertise our upcoming ARTE markets, please share them with us at firstname.lastname@example.org and we could help make your work go viral.
